  (Electronics) I bought this TV and it came with a bhrgit green frozen pixel. I made arrangements for Amazon to replace it. After a cumbersome and annoying swap out of the TV due to a bad third-party delivery service Amazon used to handle this, the second one came and worked great for about two weeks. But now it has intermittent banding across the top quarter of the screen, so that the top quarter is shaded differently than the rest of the picture, rendering it unwatchable. The banding comes and goes, so Im not sure what to do. I may watch TV for a hour and the banding develops and wont go away, but the next day its okay and then perhaps the third day the banding appears again. I believe its too late to return it to Amazon, and if I have Samsung come to service it and the banding isnt there at that particular time Ill be out of luck. This is likely a software issue and they have issued a couple of upgrades since I bought it (I have it connected to my broadband), so perhaps it will get resolved, but I spent about two grand on a piece of crap. Shame on Samsung. Ive had excellent TVs in the past from Panasonic and will not buy another Samsung.
